Ruthann, this really spoke to me. Living with cerebral palsy and later walking through breast cancer have both brought seasons when I have had to wrestle with the difference between asking whether my circumstances are good and trusting that God Himself is still good. Neither is a chapter I would have chosen, yet God has used both to teach me so much about His faithfulness and about who I am in Him. I also loved your reminder that so many people in Scripture brought their honest questions to God. He didn't turn away from them for asking, and He doesn't turn away from us either. Sometimes faith isn't having all the answers. It's continuing to bring our questions to the One we trust, even in the chapters we never would have written for ourselves. Thank you for this beautiful reminder.

Wow, what a beautiful article.

He can hold that question. He’s been holding it since Naomi. Since David. Since Job sat in the ashes and refused to look away from God even when God felt far away.

I loved this part. 🩷

The question I keep asking Him lately is - God are you here with me in this? In the doing the dishes, being with my kids, doing all the mom things. I want to see him more in the everyday moments and not just the big ones!
